What’s been happening year 7

“We know where we’re going and we know who’s going with us….”, but where have we been?? Scroll down to find out……September 2022 onwards, our seventh year

Saturday/Sunday 10th/11th June 2023 What a brilliant weekend at Woodgate Garden Show. Thank you to all ARP Friends who helped in any way over the weekend and made everything go so smoothly. A huge thank you to all who organised it and a special thank you to all who came and supported us, helping us to raise over £900.

Monday 13th March 2023 What a great afternoon, in the classroom again, at Bure Valley School here in Aylsham, to talk about the Romans. Thank you so much for asking us to visit and for all your questions.

Monday 16th January 2023 We are very grateful to the Aylsham Show committee for our award of £250 from their charitable donations. When the field is firm enough, another cabin will be delivered to house our growing mountain of finds. This money will be spent getting some shelving and storage boxes. Thank you.

December weekends 2022 The weather was not really with us for our Christmas tombola stand as it was the coldest part of the year with frost snow and ice, but we persevered. Thank you to all who donated such a great number of prizes and to all who helped or had a go. We raised a brilliant £370 to end the year on a high note.

Tuesday September 18th 2022 A Zoom talk was given to the West Norfolk and King’s Lynn Archaeological Society. Unfortunately the link was not as good as it might have been, but most of what we have been doing was shown and discussed. We look forward to seeing some of your members in the summer.

Sunday September 4th 2022 Another lovely day at Mannington Hall. Good weather and many people coming to talk about what we have been doing and looking at some of this year’s finds.

Thursday 8th September 2022 A belated thank you to the ladies at Buxton WI for inviting us to give them a talk last Thursday. It was great to see you all, some of whom had visited us in the summer. Thank you, too, for your generosity in buying some of our promotional items. this was very much appreciated. A sad day, but hopefully this brought a bit of light.
