Tuesday 27th May 2025 The rain held off until midday so we were able to enjoy a great final Tuesday morning meeting on the field for this year. Thank you to all who have come through the year.

Saturday/Monday 3rd/5th May + Saturday 10th May 2025 All set up at Woodgate Nursery in the sunshine. Tombola under way, just 50p a go anything ending in a nought. Prizes are already being won!! Come along and see us.

Sunday 27th April 2025 Thank you to everyone at Haveringland St Peter’s Church for making us feel so welcomed. Apart from it being overcast and a little chilly, it was an enjoyable day, so sad for everyone who had organised that not more people were there. Thank you to all who had a go at being detectorists, great excitement when a coin was found from the young and not so young!

Tuesday 4th March 2025 What a lovely morning, out in the fresh air and sunshine, searching mole hills! Odd bits and pieces, excitement when the metal detector found something, would it be a Roman.coin……no, it was a nail! Were we downhearted? No, it was just great to be on the field, in the sunshine, with each other, having a laugh and a chat.

Tuesday 28th January 2025 So good to see some brave ARP Friends turn up to listen to Peter and Martin talk about the site here at Woodgate. We put up with the rain and the mud for an interesting morning hearing about the site overall and the Romans more specifically. Thank you all for coming.

Friday 29th December 2024 We were delighted to be invited to take part in the Aylsham Parish church Tree Festival this year and enjoyed decorating the tree with many smiley faces. We were also there on the Saturday during the coffee morning, lovely to see a lot of people and Friends.

Thursday 31st October 2024 It was good to go to the Friendship Hall here in Aylsham and give a talk to the Aylsham and Older Peoples Association. We had seen some on the field during the dig and were able to give them a complete update.

Saturday 28th September 2024 We were again part of the Aylsham History Day in the town hall. It was so good to see lots of people came through all day long. If you missed it, look out for it next year.

Thursday 5th September 2024 We were invited again to give a talk to the Aylsham WI in the town hall and it is always good to see them.

Wednesday 4th September 2024 The Cawston Phoenix Ladies invited us to their afternoon meeting and it was lovely to meet them all and share what has been happening, particularly as we had only a couple of weeks earlier finished this year’s dig.

Thursday 29th August 2024 We have again run out of space, both our cabins are full so we purchased a second hand shipping container which is now on site and is already looking full!
