Monday 19th July 2021 We took part in the Council for British Archaeology’s week of activities and ran a Zoom meeting to talk about our ARP 360 Virtual World.

June and July 2021 various dates Really good to set up at Woodgate Nursery and see and talk to many people.

We also had a wonderful painting by Julie Curl to win. What name out of the 200 on the sheet did Julie chose? It was Jupiter, won by ARP Friend Diana. Thanks very much, Julie.

Fantastic!

Tuesday 22nd June 2021 Another school this time, a Zoom talk with Cawston Primary, supporting their work on Romans. Great to see you all and thank you for the lovely card.

Saturday 19th June 2021 Following on from our Zoom with Aylsham Trefoil Guild, we were invited to Zoom as the guest speaker at their full AGM. Thank you so much for inviting us.

Guess which day this was taken?!

Saturday – Monday 1st-3rd May 2021 Three days at Woodgate Nursery, all different! Saturday, sunny intervals and spits of rain, Sunday lovely warm and sunny, Monday overcast, with strengthening winds then rain, packed up and left after midday! Really good to see so many people, sign up some new Friends and raise funs for the project.

Tuesday 20th April 2021 What a brilliant morning! The mist lifted, the sun came out, the Kiln Field was bathed in sunshine – and we met for the first time since September! It was so good to chat to each other – and there was a lot! – and not just see faces in Zoom. People actually have legs!!. We did get a bit of pottery marking done as well. We also took a moment to reflect on the passing of dear John Watkiss who we will miss greatly, but are sure he is looking down and checking up on us.

Wednesday 7th April 2021 We were delighted to give a Zoom talk to Caistor Roman Project. Peter presented our findings, while Sheila told the group about out ARP 360 world. It was excellent to share with our near neighbours and we do hope, in the future, to be able to invite you to present to us – and hopefully in person!

February 2021 Sheila gave two Zoom sessions about the ARP 360 world, our Virtual Reality link that takes you around the our site, with hot spots to click on and find out what has happened in that area click here to have a look.

Thursday 18th March 2021 Another Zoom talk by Peter and Sheila, this time to the Aylsham Longevity Fitness group. Fantastic to see so many of you and thank you so much for the donation, this is so appreciated.

Tuesday 9th February 2021 Peter and Sheila gave a Zoom talk to Aylsham Trefoil Guild. This was a lively meeting with lots of questions. Thank you for asking us and hope to see you soon.

January 2021 It is with great sadness that we have said goodbye to Friend John Watkiss. John has joined in all of our activities and has kept us amused with his sense of humour. We are grateful for the time we were able to know John and he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with his family.

Friday 20th November 2020 We had our Zoom Online Social last night and it was so good to see you all, thank you for joining us. Peter did an overview of where we’ve come from and where we hope to be going to next year and Sheila reviewed what we had been able to do before lockdown. Lovely to hear and see you all and enjoyed the friendly banter.

Tuesday 1st September 2020 Since March, some of the Tuesday group who meet regularly at the portacabin have met via Zoom. Today, fifteen met on the field, socially distancing. It was so good to be back doing what we always do on Tuesdays. Sable was pleased to see us too!

Sunday 6th September 2020 Great day at Mannington Hall today. Weather was good too. Our first event for months! Thank you all for coming to see us and supporting us.

Tuesday 15th September 2020 Great to see Julie looking at some CBM animal prints. Thank you so much for coming, and David for taking the photographs. A special thank you as well to Colin, who has been taking boxes home throughout lockdown and studying them.

Tuesday 29th September 2020 Risk assessment completed, further guidance completed – and we up and running again! There were only 12 of us but taking a photo meant going a long way back. We had to stop because of rain, but it was so good to start up once again. Fingers crossed for next week!
